Your journey begins through a meeting with Nicholas Cooper to discuss your vision, family needs, and plans for your custom home in Oklahoma City. Whether you’ve already chosen a lot or need help finding the perfect piece of land in Edmond or OKC, this initial step ensures we understand your unique goals. A 1% deposit secures detailed estimates and personalized guidance early in the process.
Design-Plan Review
Within 5-7 business days of your initial meeting, review finalized floor plans with our team. Bring your inspiration—Pinterest boards, Houzz ideas, or personal notes, and we’ll work together to craft a design that reflects your personal style and needs. This phase ensures a seamless and accurate build process.
Estimate Review & Contract Signing
Approximately 30-40 days after the design review, we’ll finalize cost estimates and sign the contract. During this step, you’ll also gain access to BuilderTrend, our project management platform, where Phase 1 selections (appliances, exterior cladding, windows, and more) are uploaded for your convenience.
Pre-Construction Design Selections
With the contract signed, we’ll schedule your first design meeting to finalize selections like appliances, windows, garage doors, and cabinet pre-drawings. Your vision for your home starts coming to life as we nail down these essential elements.
Design Meetings
(Phases 2-4)
Design Meeting 2
Review cabinet revisions, plumbing fixtures, and paint options. This session ensures everything reflects your desired style and functionality.
Design Meeting 3
Finalize flooring, tile, and countertop selections in-store, with our designer guiding you every step of the way.
Design Meeting 4
Choose lighting and hardware. If you prefer showroom visits, we’ll coordinate this experience for you.
Construction Walkthroughs
Final Frame Walk
Tour your home with our team to confirm final adjustments. Bring personal touches by writing messages or scriptures on the walls.
Electrical Walk
Determine outlet placements, lighting fixture locations, and wiring for entertainment systems.
Trim Walk
Finalize trim details, closet layouts, and cabinet configurations. Paint colors are signed off during this stage to ensure a seamless finish.
